Bring the classroom outdoors and explore the nature of the American River! Your visit to the Effie Yeaw Nature Center will begin with an interpretive talk introducing a live non-releasable animal representing a native species of the Sacramento region. You will be led on a guided nature walk on trails in the Nature Study Area Preserve, showcasing a Sacramento oak riparian habitat. Upon returning to the Nature Center building, your program will continue with an exploration of the Discovery Room and live Sacramento region animals. Our Discovery Shop will also be open for you.
