Scenes from Nature Fest 2013

Thirteen hundred people came to the Nature Center on October 6 for Nature Fest 2013.  They joined us for an amazing variety of demonstrations and presentations, including Karuk and Maidu cultural demonstrations, fly fishing demonstrations; presentations on energy and water conservation, native plants, raptors and other native birds, snakes, bats, ethnobotany, frogs, mountain lions and bugs.  Attendees could even make their own abalone necklaces, fishing lures and salmon hats.

Thanks for making this possible go to our Nature Fest 2013 sponsors: American Chemistry Council; American River Raft Rentals; American Water, California; California Native Plant Society; Carmichael Water District; GenCorp Foundation; Inside Publications; Sacramento Area Creeks Council; Sacramento Audubon Society; SMUD; Valley Community Newspapers; and the Water Forum.
